Registration for the The CSU/OSI AAUS Scientific Diver Course is now open. The course will be offered once during the summer:
CSU/OSI AAUS Scientific Diver course Winter 2026-2027 Session
Course Dates: December 21, 2026 – January 15, 2027
Please note: December 21 – January 3 is remote, self-paced, eLearning. January 4 – January 15 is in-person practical training.
Application Deadline: November 14, 2026
Please Note: Due to staffing and housing constraints, space for theis course is limited. Applicants will be considered on a first come, first served basis in the following order:
- CSU Ocean Studies Institute Graduate Students and Staff
- CSU Catalina Semester Students
- CSU Ocean Studies Institute Undergraduate Students
- SCMI Consortium Member Students and Staff
- Other Qualified Applicants

COVID19 DIVING AND BOATING NOTIFICATION
The Campuses of the California State University, have adopted federal and state guidelines regarding COVID mitigation protocols. In the event of an outbreak these guidelines and supplemental protocols may be implemented and will impact locations and scheduling for the AAUS course.
