Registration for the The CSU/OSI AAUS Scientific Diver Course is now open. The course will be offered once during the summer:
CSU/OSI AAUS Scientific Diver course 2026 Session
Course Dates: June 8 – July 2, 2026
Please note: June 8 – 21 is remote, self-paced, eLearning. June 22 – July 2 is in-person practical training.
Application Deadline: April 3, 2025
Please Note: Due to staffing and housing constraints, the course is limited to twelve participants. Applicants will be considered on a first come, first served basis in the following order:
- CSU Ocean Studies Institute Graduate Students and Staff
- CSU Catalina Semester Students
- CSU Ocean Studies Institute Undergraduate Students
- SCMI Consortium Member Students and Staff
- Other Qualified Applicants

COVID19 DIVING AND BOATING NOTIFICATION
The Campuses of the California State University, have adopted federal and state guidelines regarding COVID mitigation protocols. In the event of an outbreak these guidelines and supplemental protocols may be implemented and will impact locations and scheduling for the AAUS course.
